We've assisted a number of doctors with the purchase of a new home. Most banks have special terms just for docs which can include less money down and lower rates (or higher rates depending on their situation).
Occasionally the terms were so good the listing agents questioned how they could possibly secure such financing. We assure them that the banks are chasing down doctors for their business and have special programs reserved just for them.
